The Thermodynamic Sterilization system, TSS, is a sort of sterilization which uses heat to sterilize the air. Air is heated to a high temperature which kills all kinds of micro level organisms in the air and then cooled down and released into the ambiance. Therefore it requires no filters to replace. And no ozone creation, in fact, TSS reduces ozone, so it is environmentally friendly. TSS can decrease mold and fungus spores, in addition to bacteria and viruses with no side effects. These micro grade chemicals are incinerated, so the TSS kind is natural and non-toxic. For air purifiers That use Ionization, these have a little sound but need regular cleaning and maintenance and the same may also be required due to their surrounding environment. They have to have their filters replaced and that adds to their maintenance costs. Some ionization products can generate ozone, a hazardous toxin to breathe because it hurts respiratory tissue.
Its efficacy is limited to mold, fungus and bacterial elimination because it clumps them together so that they may be removed to where they may fall from the room. Until the Ionization device secretes ozone it cannot remove viruses. For Air purifiers that use filtration, these can be noisy, possibly bulky and require routine cleaning, maintenance and replacement of multiple filters.
